Creating a rom of your Nintendo DS game is easy enough to do, however because the Nintendo DS is 12 years old it's very likely your home wireless network will be using security which is not compatible with the Nintendo DS, which does complicate the process a bit.

I will do my best to try and assist you with lowering your wireless network security so you can get your Nintendo DS connected. This is why knowledge of your home network setup, along with some networking knowledge will be a great advantage for following this tutorial.

Please keep the following in mind before progressing: You will need a DS flashcard, any Slot 1 DS flashcard you purchase today will be capable of running homebrew apps. You still need a WEP secured wireless network regardless. WEP security is insecure and can be cracked very easily, so be sure to change your wireless network security back after following this tutorial.

It's very unlikely the people living next door to you know how to crack WEP wireless security, or even know anything about wireless network security. You should be pretty safe lowering your network security for the purpose of this tutorial, i'm simply been responsible and warning you why you should switch the security back to WPA2 after you have finished.

Can someone walk me through how to do this? Reply Helpful Thread reply - more options Link to this Post. User profile for user: skorpien skorpien. I'm not sure how to do this as I've never owned one, but I'm sure somebody else could help you through this or maybe a google will do the trick. This is usually done by turning off DHCP in your router's setup pages. This isn't necessary but helps prevent other issues as I've read online. Message was edited by: skorpien. Take a laptop and join its network, and find out what IP address your laptop's being assigned. If it's in the XXX range, then your TC's doing the routing. If it's XXX, the Netgear is doing it's own routing and isn't in bridge mode. And if you can access the internet on the laptop when connected to the Netgear, then it's definitely a problem with the DS.
